ADDING A STICKER EFFECT IN PAINTSHOP PRO

Open up a blank image or the image you want to add text to, and choose your font, text size and color.

For this I used Christabelle Script Font.

I selected a color from my design using my dropper tool.

I usually size the text much larger - I resize later.

Type your words into the text box.

Go to image/Add Borders

Choose white as your colour for this tutorial, but you can use whatever color you like. Make your borders 50 on each side.
This is how it should look.

Use your magic wand and click on the white border.

This should put marching ants up around the borders of the words.

You also want the inside of the words to be selected so hold down the shift key and click with your
magic wand inside all of the letters that have a space, like P, B, H, D and A as well as the tail of the Y.

Go to Selections/Invert

Go to Selections/Modify/Expand

Set the number of pixels to your choice.  For this one I used 5 but you can increase or decrease this according to how thick you want your sticker border to be.

Click OK.

Go to selections/invert.

Since we added a border, we now need to convert our background to a layer, so go to Layers/Promote Background Layer.

(You can also right click on the layer in your layers palette and choose Promote Background Layer from there)

From here you can go to Edit/Cut or hit delete on your keyboard and the background will disappear.

I resized mine and added a dropped shadow.
