ONE IN A MELON - BY BRENDA

Filters Required: DSB FLUX - FILTERS UNLIMITED 2

1. Open 575 by 550 blank raster canvas.

2. Flood fill canvas with #e4de95

3. Layers/load/load mask from disk/Tag Frames_BG 28. Right click on layer palette/merge group. Image/Resize/All layers NOT checked/96%/Duplicate/merge down/duplicate/merge down. Name this layer BOTTOM MASK.

4. Use magic wand to select inside one of the little circles. This will select all of them. Effects/filter effects/photo effex/scanlines/these settings:

5. Apply. Do same filter again, only this time check vertical toggle. Use magic and to select inside the now plaid circles on the whitest square/right click on layer palette/promote selection to layer. Name this layer: NOISE 1. Up to selections/select none. Adjust/sharpen.

6. Go back to the BOTTOM MASK. Selections/select all/float/defloat/modify/select/selection borders/4/add new raster layer/flood fill selection on new layer with #ca5131

7. Merge this border down with BOTTOM MASK layer. Example:

8. Add new raster layer/arrange/send to top. Flood fill new layer with the same burnt orange as in your border frame, found above. Layer/load mask/load mask from disk/Tag Frame_BG 19. Right click on layer palette/merge group. Image/resize/all layers NOT checked/90%. Duplicate layer, merge down with original. Name this layer: TOP FRAME.

9. Select inside your TOP FRAME with magic wand. Effects/filter effects/Filters Unlimited/Tormentia/Criss Cross/these settings:

10. Still on top tag Selections/select all/float/defloat/modify/select/selection borders/4/add new raster layer/flood fill selection on new layer with white only on the outer border selection, do not fill the interior borders, example:

Note: the gray panel next to my image is the layer palette. THIS is the place where you right click to do things like add layers, merge and name your layers.

Move to just below your TOP TAG layer and add a new raster layer.

11. On the new raster layer go to your rectangle preset shape tool found here:

12. Set background color to #d67054, foreground color off.

13. Draw out rectangle to fill the entire open square in the middle of your TOP TAG. Be sure you size your rectangle to go just outside of each border in a perfect square so that the interior of your TOP TAG is filled. NAME THIS LAYER: SQUARE. Use magic wand to select inside the new square and effects/filter effects/photo effex/scanlines/these settings:

14. Select the darker stripe with magic wand, right click layer palette/promote selection to layer. Name this layer: NOISE 2.

15. Go back down to your NOISE 2 LAYER. Set foreground color to off, background color to #d67054

16. Draw out another square/rectangle but this time size it to fit just under the inner most square of your TOP TAG like this:

Convert to raster layer/name MIDDLE SQUARE.

17. Duplicate MIDDLE SQUARE. On duplicate Image/Resize/all layers NOT checked/84%/name new duplicate square TOP square.

18. Go back to MIDDLE SQUARE. (The larger of the two squares). Flood fill this square with new color of #f18b6f

Right click inside with magic wand/effects/filter effects/Filters Unlimited/Synthetic. Name this layer: SEEDS.

This is what you should have now if you followed all of the steps:

19. Merge TOP SQUARE down with MIDDLE SQUARE. Name new layer MIDDLE SQUARE. Merge TOP TAG down with MIDDLE SQUARE. Name this TOP TAG.

20. This is what your layer palette should look like now:

20. Open WATERMELON GIRL. Edit/copy/paste as new layer/effects/image effects/offset/horizontal 90/Vertical 0/wrap checked/custom checked. NAME GIRL 2. Duplicate Girl 2 name the DUPLICATE GIRL 1. Close out GIRL 1 and open GIRL 2. Use pick tool on GIRL 2 to pull her head down and to right as though she is rocking, like this:

21. Effects/3d effects/apply drop shadow/these settings:

22. Apply same drop shadow to GIRL 1.

23. Open WORD ART. Edit/copy/paste as new layer. Arrange as shown in finished tag above. Once you have in position, use magic wand to select inside JUST the word MELON on the deep red and right click/promote selection to layer: Name this layer: NOISE 3.

(You can also create your own word art and apply.)

24. Open WATERMELON FLOWER. Arrange as shown in finished tag above.

25. Open SEED ELEMENT. Arrange as shown in finished tag above.

ANIMATION STATION

OPEN GIRL 1 CLOSE GIRL 2.

26. Go to each of the THREE NOISE layers and effects/filter effects/DSB FLUX/add bright noise/65

Layers/merge visible/save as PSP 1.
