BACKGROUND REMOVER

So many times I've needed to recolour parts of a photo.  The background remover tool is perfect if you know how to do it properly.  Below is one example of how to use the background remover tool

Open your image.

Convert to Layer, the duplicate layer.
This way, you know you won't destroy the original.

I'm using a photo that was on my fb page...the sky is dull, so let's improve it.

Click on your background remover tool

Make your settings like below.

Adjust the size of the eraser based on the dimensions of your photo and the sky you’re removing.
Adjust the tolerance.  A good starting point is around 140 but try it on your image and see if it works for you.

This tool concentrates on the centre of your eraser so remember to take care and perhaps lesson your tolerance when you're coming close to another part of your image.

I made my tolerance 120 when I got to the lower part of my image where the sky meets the trees.

If you're going to add a new sky, as I did, then you need to add a new raster layer.
I used Mura's fiter Meister/Cloud on this layer and liked it.

Drag this layer below your image layer and you're done

What a difference
