LOVE MAKES IT ALL RIGHT - GOLDILOCKS
1. Open a 565 by 580 blank canvas.
2. Open BOTTOM WORD ART BACK. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Name WORD ART.
3. Open BOTTOM NAME PLATE back. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Go up to Effects/Image Effects/Offset/Vertical/-135. Wrap selected as shown below:
Name layer NAME PLATE.
4. Open KITCHEN BACK. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Name layer KITCHEN.
5. Open FLOWER. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Move into position on left upper corner of KITCHEN, like shown in finished tag above. Name layer FLOWER 1.
6. Open SPRAY. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Move into position below FLOWER 1 so top of spray is just above flower, as shown in finished tag above. Name layer SPRAY.
7. Open BOTTOM EMBELLISH. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Move to bottom at end of name plate like this:
Rename layer NAME PLATE. Now go to KITCHEN LAYER and move the KITCHEN up so that the bottom of the KITCHEN is just touching the top of the GREEN on the name plate.
Click on BOTTOM WORD ART BACK. Image/Resize/96% All Layers NOT CHECKED.
8. Open FLOWER 2. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer, right at right bottom of KITCHEN as shown in the finished tag above or below.
9. Open WORD ART. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. You can also create your own word art for this portion of the tag if you like.
If you choose NOT to animate, merge and save.
ANIMATION STATION
10. Open GOLDILOCKS and Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Move her so her feet are just slightly over the green on the bottom name plate. NAME HER GOLDILOCKS 1. Duplicate her and name that one GOLDILOCKS 2.
You asked that I show you how I animate these tags, you didn't want pre-done animated layers, so are you ready?
11. Close out GOLDILOCKS 1 and go to GOLIDLOCKS 2. Make sure she is below Goldilocks 1. Zoom in by about 500%. Get your freehand selection tool. Select around her arm like this:
Be SURE you do not MOVE your GOLIDLOCKS tubes as you are working on it.
With arm selected as above, edit/copy/cut. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Use freehand tool to cut away the end of the spoon where it holds the porridge. Move this new arm layer BELOW your GOLDILOCKS 2. Use your pick tool (found under file about two down with the move tool) to move the arm into this position:
12. Select Goldilocks 2 and merge down with the new arm. Rename Goldilocks 2.
13. Activate your warp brush. Stay zoomed in about 500%.
14. Go to the little bears mouth area. We are now going to close his mouth around the spoon. Starting at the bottom of his mouth, use small strokes up and pull it to to meet the top part of his mouth, like this:
Do not be afraid to work with the warp brush, treat it just like a paint brush. You can work with it, edit undo if you don't like it, and paint again. I also pulled down the top part of his mouth over the spoon. It's just a matter of practice. The warp tool is an amazing tool to take out imperfections, to simulate movement, etc. Play with this portion of the tutorial until you get an effect with the mouth you like. RENAME layer GOLDILOCKS 2.
Apply a drop shadow to each of the GOLDILOCKS tube, precisely the same, to your liking. I use 3/3/Opacity 30/Blur 2. Then I do again with this -3/0/Opacity 30/Blur 2.
ANIMATION SHOP
1. Close out GOLDILOCKS 2 and open GOLDILOCKS 1.
2. Go to FLOWER layer. On flower layer go up to IMAGE/FREE ROTATE. When box opens select right/Free/45 Degrees/All layers NOT CHECKED. Apply.
Merge Visible/Save as PSP 1.
Edit/Undo merge visible. Do NOT undo free rotate.
Go back to FLOWER and do the free rotate again, same settings. You are going to unmerge and redo the flower four more times, for a total of FIVE PSP frames. Once you have your five, close out GOLDILOCKS 1 AND open GOLDILOCKS 2.
Once you have her open, do the same exact thing with the FLOWER. Five frames of free rotate with same settings. Save as PSP 6, PSP 7, PSP 8, PSP 9 AND PSP 10
You should now have PSP 1 THROUGH PSP 10.
ANIMATION SHOP
Open your animation shop.
File/Animation Wizard/Next/Next/Next/Frame Properties 13/Add images. Add in this order.
