For this tutorial you will need Filters Unlimted Photo Aging kit,
Mask LLM-1116
Images of your choice. (I have included the ones I used if you want them.)
This tutorial is fairly simple with great results.
Open a new image 700 x 700.
Open the background image provided (Afternoon Tea Paper 2)
Edit Copy and close it,
you don’t need it again.
Edit paste as new layer….move down so you can’t see the
table and cakes.
Layer/New Mask Layer from Image Scroll to LLM-1116
Layers/Merge/Merge Group.
You can close out the mask, we won’t need it again.
New Raster Layer/Select all
Open Brenda’s lace tag back.
Edit Copy/ Edit Paste into selection.
Select none.
Add a drop shadow of 1/1/20/1.
On your layer palette make sure this layer is on top of the masked layer.
With your selection tool, set with no feather, draw out the shape of the solid border of the lace frame
Indicated by blue line on example below
Selection/invert
Click on masked layer group and hit delete on your keyboard.
Open books rec tut On your layer palette, duplicate this layer.
Leave all settings as is.
You now have a sepia layer and a colour layer.
Go to your lasso tool and set like this
Zoom in on your image. Zoom a lot so you get a nice neat edge in the next step.
Draw around the part of the image you want to make colourful.
Little steps,clicking regularly.
Remember you can undo the last step with lasso tool by
pressing delete on your keyboard.
When you have the whole area selected. Hit delete on your keyboard.
You should have this.
Continue in this way, removing the sepia colour until you are happy.
Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.
Image/resize/35% Resize all layers UNCHECKED.
Edit/Copy/ Edit paste onto your main image.
I pasted mine onto bottom right of
image.
Add the same drop shadow.
Open Afternoon Tea Element (109)
Resize to 18% and place beside the books on your image.
Add drop shadow 2/2/30/2
If you don’t want to animate your image, save it now and the lesson is
complete.
Otherwise…go to the masked layer,
rename it background and
duplicate this layer twice.
You now have 3 background layers.
Click on top layer and go to Add text.
I used a quote just to highlight the tag.
Enter your text, then convert to raster layer.
Go to Effects/plugins/EyeCandy4000/ Gradient Glow
Use the settting below, then click on the color
tab and select fat.
Click ok and add a drop shadow of 1/1/10/1
Rename this layer text.
Duplicate this layer twice more. You should have 3 text layers.
Select all/ selections float/ selections defloat/ Selections modify/contract 4.
Keep selected. Effects/Bright Noise/dsb flux set at 25 mix.
Go to next text layer and repeat but set to 35.
Last text layer and repeat but set to 45.
Select none
Click on your bottom background layer to activate it.
Using your lasso tool, feather set at about 14, draw out an area in centre of the lake. Make sure it doesn’t go
onto the grass etc.
This will be the sparkle on the water. Keep selected.
Go to Effects/ AlienSkin Xenofex 2/Constellation.
I used this setting
Click ok. Then use your undo button to undo Constellation.
Keep selected though.
Move to your next background layer and repeat Constellation but click on random at the bottom left.
Repeat for last layer of background.
Select none.
Image resize to 500 pixels/ all layers CHECKED.
Add your watermark etc.
Open Animation shop. Close out layers 2 and 3 of your text and
2 and 3 of your background.
Highlight the background layer (any active layer is fine) and go to Merge/Merge Visible. Edit/Copy
go to Animation shop/Paste
as new animation.
Go back to psp and undo Merge visible.
Blank out background and text layer you just copied.
uncheck layer 2 on both text and
background to make them visible.
Highlight background 2, layers merge visible ..any active layer is ok, so long as it’s not closed off.
Edit/Copy and go to Animation Shop/Paste after current frame.
Go back to PSP and undo merge visible.
X out layer 2 on text and background and open up layer 3 on both
click on a layer that isn’t closed off, layers merge visible.
Edit Copy/ then Animation shop paste after current frame.
Click on View Animation and you should see a glittery lake.
Save your animation and you’re done.
