1. Open a 665 by 680 pixel blank transparent canvas.
2. Open BRUSH. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Do not move. Name Layer Heart Blinkie.
3. Open BOTTOM TOP PLATE. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Effects/Images/Offset/Vertical 122/Wrap selected. Select inside the blue on the image, Effects/Penta/Dot and Cross/use slides to get a desired effect, I use this:
Name BOTTOM PLATE.
4. Open NAME PLATE. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Effects/Images/Offset/Vertical -135. Do not move. Name layer NAME PLATE.
5. Open NAME PLATE EMBELLIE. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Effects/Images/Offset/Vertical - 225, wrap checked. Do not move. Name layer NAME PLATE TRIM.
6. Use your color picker to choose the red found in the heart trim. Set that to your foreground color. Set background color to white. Choose ELLIPSE found on your side toolbar near bottom. Set line width to 8. Draw out an ellipse about the size of the circle in the finished tag. Objects/Align/Center in canvas. Convert to raster layer. Use your magic wand to select inside the red border. Effects/Filter effects/PhotoEffex/Scanlines. I use:
Name this layer CENTER BACK.
7. With CENTER BACK still active in layer palette, go up to selections, Float/Defloat/Modify/Select Selection Borders/8. Layers/New raster layer. With selection still active, move the new raster layer below your CENTER BACK and flood fill with selection with a blue you pull from the Name Plate trim. Still active/Effects/Filter Effects/Scanlines/Same settings as above. Name this layer, OUTER BORDER. This what you will see so far if followed:
8. Open PINNOCHIO. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Effects/Image Effects/Offset/Horizontal -75. Name layer Pinocchio. Duplicate. Name first PINOCCHIO 1 AND second PINOCCHIO 2. Close out Pinocchio 1 and activate Pinocchio 2.
9. On Pinocchio 2 use freehand selection tool on his nose. We are going to make it shorter. Select outside of nose like this:
Once you have it selected as shown above edit/cut.
Now select the tip portion of the nose like this:
Gently pull the tip into place at the end of his nose. Align as closely as possible. Like this:
Once you have it in a position that aligns, use your WARP BRUSH TOOL to fix any imperfections:
I used it to blend the nose with the tip and to smooth out the outer edges and make it rounder. Use your artist eye to determine when you are satisfied!
Click on layer at top that says PROMOTED SELECTION and merge down to make his nose whole. Rename Pinocchio 2. Arrange/Move both Pinocchio images to top.
10. Open WORD ART. Edit/Copy/Paste as new layer. Move into position to right of Pinocchio as shown in finished tag above. (You can also create your own word art if you like).
Image/Resize/All Layers/90%. Crop tag leaving a bit more at the bottom for words.
ANIMATION STATION:
1. Select the NAME PLATE TRIM. Use Magic Wand to select the LIGHT BLUE stripes of the trim, making sure CONTIGUOUS is unchecked. Right click/promote selection to layer. Name NOISE 1.
2. Use magic wand to select the lighter red in the border of the ellipse, right click/promote selection to layer. NAME NOISE 2. Do same with the blue border, selecting the dark blue with magic wand/right click/promote selection to layer, name NOISE 3.
3. Go to word art. Use magic wand to select inside the lighter stripe on word LOVE and the letters I. Right click/promote selection to layer. Name NOISE 4.
Making sure PINOCCHIO 1 is active and 2 is closed out:
4. Go to each NOISE layer one at a time and EFFECTS/DSB FLUX/ADD BRIGHT NOISE/60. Layers/Merge Visible/Save as PSP 1.
5. Edit Undo merge visible/undo all noise layers.
6. Go to HEART BRUSH LAYER. Select the blue from the outer border and flood fill the bottom left heart and the top right heart with the blue. Then follow the steps above to add noise to each noise layer, adjusting DSB FLUX by moving up 4. Layers/Merge visible/Save as PSP 2.
Edit/Undo Merge Visible/Undo all noise filters, do NOT undo heart fills. Now on heart Brush, flood fill the second heart on left and second on right top. Do the noise layers again, adjusting by 4. Merge layers/Save as PSP 3.
Follow these steps for three more layers, flood filling hearts in order up on left, down on right and adjusting noise levels by 4 for each of the noise layers. Merge after each, and save as PSP 4, PSP 5 and PSP 6.
For layers 7 -12 you will follow same steps, BUT, you will be flood filling the hearts with the red in the original heart, but moving from top left down and bottom right up. You will also do each noise level, adjusting by 4 each time. Layers/Merge Visible/Save as PSP 7 - 12.
ANIMATION SHOP
Open your animation shop. File/Animation Wizard/NEXT/NEXT/NEXT/Frame Properties 15/Add Images 1-12. Finish. View/Name and Save Tag.
