IN THE GOOD OLE SUMMERTIME

What you will need: Filters Unlimited - Kang - Penzilla, DSB Flux, Photo Effex/Scanlines and Xenofex Constellation 2.
Preset Shape - Frames_BG 82 and Another Shape 2_BG 50 - Install in your My PSP Files/Preset Shapes folder.
1. Open a 900 by 775 BLANK canvas.
2. Set foreground color to #6e9292:
3. Set background color to white.
4. Find preset shape Frame_bg 82 and with line width set to 8 draw out the shape in the center of your canvas, approximately three and a half inches wide by three and a half inches tall. While still in vector form move up to OBJECTS/Align/Center of Canvas. Layers/convert to raster layer.
5. Select inside the shape you just made with magic wand. Right click on layer palette and promote selection to layer. Open Background. Edit/copy/paste into selection. Adjust/sharpen. Name this OCEAN BEACH.
6. Select the outer border of your shape with magic wand. Apply Filters Unlimited/Kang/Penzilla with these settings:
If you do not have these filters, you can use KANG as a stand alone if you have it, or you can find both here at our Filters and serials page: FILTERS
7. Use the same preset shape with line width at 6 with foreground color set to #9c5c3a:
8. Close our your background color and draw out a frame on top of your OCEAN BEACH image which will be the inner frame. NAME IT: INNER FRAME. Draw out another of same size that is the frame for the border of your OCEAN BEACH. Name this BORDER FRAME. Once you have both drawn you should see this:
9. Move to bottom blank raster layer. Draw out ANOTHER SHAPE_bg 50 with a line width of 5, foreground color the same green as above, background color white. Move into this position:
Use same shape with foreground color the same brown on your other frames as above, line width set to five, no background color, and draw out another frame around the green frame, with a small gap between the two borders. Like this
10. Open BUBBLES image. Edit/Copy and paste as new layer. Select inside white area of BUBBLES. Open Background 3. Edit/Copy/Paste into selection. Arrange/send to bottom in this position:
11. Image/Rotate Image Right. While in this position, use FONT of your choice and style of your choice to place these words: IN THE GOOD OLE SUMMERTIME. Layers/Convert to raster layer. This is the way I did my own:
12. Image/Rotate Left/Name Text layer.
13. Select inside white area of your bottom tag with magic wand. Effects/Filter effex/Scanlines with these settings:
14. Open your 1920's bathing beauty image. Edit/copy/paste as new layer. I placed her here:
15. Move to your OCEAN BEACH image and with your freehand selection tool outline just the water portion of the scene, the green water. Right click on layer palette and promote selection to layer. Name that layer WATER GLITTER.
16. Move to your BUBBLES image and select the brown border around the bubbles with your magic wand (make sure contingent is not checked) and right click/promote selection to layer. Name this layer BUBBLES NOISE.
17. Name your INNER FRAME layer/CONSTELLATION.
IF you CHOOSE not to animate, you do not have to do the noise and constellation steps. Just crop image and resize by 90%. Name tag.
ANIMATION STATION
1. Go to WATER GLITTER and Effects/Filter Effects/DSB Flux/Add Bright Noise/45.
2. Go to BUBBLES NOISE and apply same DSB Flux filter effect.
3. Go to CONSTELLATION and apply Effects/Filter Effects/Xenofex/Constellation 2/2.00/1/1/1/100/100 Keep original image. Okay
Layers/Merge Visible/Save as PSP 1
Edit/Undo all of the above steps, then follow same process increasing noise by 5 and click random on Xenofex, merge and save as PSP 2.
Do same process two more times, each time increasing noise by 5 and clicking random on Xenofex/Constellation. Save as PSP 3 and PSP 4.
ANIMATION SHOP
Open your animation shop.
File/Animation Wizard/Next/Next/Next/Frame Properties 11/Add Images 1 - 4 Finish/View and name your tag. You can add words/names along the bottom.
To add words, go back to your tag in paintshop, choose a text you like, apply a white or other color foreground color and choose a background color and apply text. Save the TEXT and open in your animation shop. Edit/Copy/Paste into selected frame. Make sure select all is on and propagate paste is on. Now you have your text applied. Save.
