OFF THE GRID
Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice
WSL Mask 84 – Here
Filters Used:
Toadies Ommadawn
Let’s start:
Open a new image 800 x 800 pixels
Choose 2 colors from your tube – or – 2 complimentary colors.
On your foreground – change to gradient with the settings below:
Fill image with gradient.
Apply the mask – merge group.
Copy, paste, and resize your tube.
Duplicate your tube 2 times – close out the top 2 layers and
make sure the bottom tube layer is selected.
On this layer apply – Gaussian Blur – 5%
With your arrow buttons, move this layer slightly up and
slightly to the right.
Apply Ommadawn with the following settings:
With your Magic Wand with the settings below, select the black lines.
Selection – expand by 2 – hit delete – contact by 1 – add a
new layer, fill with either your gradient or a complimentary color. – deselect.
Add a drop shadow of choice.
Unhide middle tube layer and add same drop shadow as used
above.
Unhid your top layer – apply Gaussian Blur at 5. Change the blend mode to overlay or what looks
best with your tube selection.
Merge and save your tag.
