TEMPLATE TO TAG TUTORIAL

TEMPLATE TO TAG

I've put the images I used into a zip file for you should you want it
You can get it HERE

Open a new image 600 x 600, transparent background.

Select two colours from your main image.  I picked pink and grey.

Make a foreground/background gradient, angle 45 and no repeats and fill your image.

Open 2020 mask, go to your image and Layers/New Mask Layer/From Image.

Find the mask in the drop down menu and click ok.

Layers/Layers Merge Group.

Pull it over to the left and up to the top, just a little so you can see it underneath the tag you’re going to create.

Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Texture and find brick wall.  Leave settings at default.  Layers merge visible.  Edit/Copy.

Open your template and resize all to 600 x 600.

Duplicate it. Never work on the original.

Edit/paste your new background as a new layer and move it to the very bottom of the layer palette, below Circle background.

Go to your new template and delete the top layer, it’s the details of the creator.

In your layer palette go down to the layer called Circle Background

Click on it to make it active.

Fetch your magic wand set it like this.

Layers/New Raster Layer.

You can hide all the other layers at this stage if you prefer.

Open your pink gingham paper.  Edit/Copy.  Edit/Paste into selection.

Select None.  Add a small drop shadow. I used 2/-2/20/2. Layers/Merge down.

I saved this as a psp file onto my desktop, just in case my pc crashes. It’s a good idea to save often.

Make Circle Frame visible and click on it to make it active.

Click inside the frame to select it, then Layers/New Raster Layer.

Copy your pink polka dots and paste into selection.
With it still selected open Effects/Plug Ins/ AlienSkin 5 Impact and select the glass setting. Here’s what I used.

Select ok.  Add the same drop shadow. Then Layers/Merge down.

Unhide – Bottom Right Frame Back- click on it to make it active.

Select this square with your magic wand. Same settings as before.
Layers/New Raster Layer.

With your colour picker, select the lightest pink from your gingham

Change your colour tab to Gradient. I have a light pink as foreground and white as background.  Choose foreground/background gradient with these settings.

Flood fill the square with your gradient.

Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Weave

I used these settings after selecting a brighter pink for the weave colour and white for the gap colour.

Open Effects/Plug Ins/ AlienSkin5/Impact/Glass again and apply the same settings to the square.  Apply same drop shadow. Select none. Layers/Merge down.

Unhide Bottom right frame. Again click on it to make it active.

Select this frame with your magic wand, same settings as before.

Layers/New Raster Layer/

I picked the bright pink colour from my large frame and used it to fill this one.
Take this image to our Glass setting and add the same drop shadow.
Select none and merge down.

Unhide Top Left Frame Back, remember to click on it to make it active.

Layers/New Raster Layer and open your jmr white with pink polka dot paper.
Edit Copy/ Edit Paste into selection. Add drop shadow. Select none.
Layers/Merge down.

Unhide Top Left Frame, click on it to make active.

Select with magic wand, Layers/New Raster Layer/

Use the same deep pink as you did for previous frame.
Do the Glass and drop shadow as before. Layers/Merge down.

Unhide Diamond Frame back. Select it as before, layers/new raster layer and fill with a contrasting colour. I picked a medium grey.

Effects/Texture Effects/Texture/  (should still be brick wall) at default settings.

Do the same Glass and drop shadow. Select None and merge down.

Unhide Diamond Frame layer and make it active.

Select and add new layer.

I filled mine with the bright pink polka dot paper, then applied the Glass filter, drop shadow, select none and merged down the layer.

I selected a png I got Bing to make for me, and pasted it as a new layer and added a Perspective/Shadow from AlienSkin5/Impact/Perspective Shadow and select one you’re happy with.

Add your watermark and your text as desired.

I added a bit of sparkle to mine, but the choice is yours.

I hope you liked this one and hope you will try templates of all shapes and sizes.

They’re really good fun.
